You have mounted a plough which extends far beyond the back of your tractor. What must you remember when you turn right?

When you attach a plough or any implement that extends far beyond the rear of your tractor, turning—especially to the right—poses a risk because the overhanging part can swing out into the path of other vehicles. According to German traffic rules, you are only allowed to turn if you ensure that no other road users, including oncoming traffic, are endangered by the movement of your plough. Simply marking the plough with warning panels does not remove your responsibility to prevent danger. Always turn only when it is completely safe and you do not endanger others, regardless of any markings or signs. This helps prevent accidents caused by the swinging motion of long or wide equipment during turns.
